Most people don’t realize how inexpensive life insurance can really be, if they get it while they’re young and healthy.  Many young people may prefer spending money on other goals and things, but normally don't consider life insurance.  This is where I come in (feel the wind as I enter!) It's important to know what your current life insurance benefits are at the job so you know what you're going to lose when you eventually leave, by choice or force.  Getting life insurance while I was young helped ease the burden of what I'd need later in life...when I became a wife, mother, and left my job after 20 years.  I REALLY needed insurance when I left my job, but I was a lot older and a lot less healthy.  I would have some explaining to do on the insurance application and would pay lots more because of my older age.  Bottom line: Get. It. While. You're. Young.
